Will probably attend based on some combination of cost of attendance and employment outcomes. Current ranking based on acceptances (pretty iffy on it) : Florida Georgia Indiana Arizona State Minnesota Iowa (scholarship pending)

Admitted to University of Texas at AustinVeterans whose home of record is TEXAS qualify for a tuition exemption called the “Hazlewood Act.” It exempts the full cost of tuition to any graduate program in the state (including law school) https://www.tvc.texas.gov/education/hazlewood/
Go for the higher LSAT score and give yourself plenty of time to study for and take it! Write as many optionals as possible and make the case for how you are unique to a school given your experiences, interests, etc. ༼ つ ◕_◕ ༽つ Give Wave
Don’t turn in your top schools apps first… Applying in September vs October doesn’t make any difference, and if you notice a typo or error in your apps, you don’t want to discover it on your top choices and fix it for your second choices
Ultimately, this was an easy decision. As a PI applicant, my goal for the cycle was NYU or Berkeley. I am exceedingly fortunate to have received a full ride at Berkeley and after being rejected for RTK, it was a no-brainer to attend.
Apply earlier, and not during a pandemic. Spend less time on here (same goes for Reddit). Wrote optional essays for Stanford (3 books, 3 songs), Georgetown (Top 10 list) and a “Why X?” for UVA, Michigan, Duke, Cornell, and ASU.
This is probably super doxxy, but I used this site often during the application process and know that it can be helpful in some ways (although not as many as Reddit would lead you to believe…). Applied to most in late November
Aug 22’ LSAT; one and done KIRA at UT (OOS) Dean Interview @ GT wrote group contrib for umich, why X georgetown, 2 essays for Penn, Stanford IF YOU ARE SEEING THIS AND IT IS EARLY IN THE CYCLE: APPLY EARLY! IT AIN’T WORTH IT!
Technically not KJD because I spent a year to get a Masters in between graduation from undergrad in ’21 and law school in ’22 but never worked full time. duke ur3 on 1/6/22 chicago ur3/4 on 1/18/22 & ur4/5 on 1/19/22
Be interesting! Do cool things before, during, and after law school. This is more life advice than it is admissions advice, although it applies to admissions too – do whatever you’re passionate about! Passion shows.
Wrote Why X for Michigan, optional essay for Stanford, Why X for Berkeley, Why X for Cornell, scholarship essays for NYU, optional essay for Penn (not Why X), optional essay for Georgetown (not Why X), Why X for Duke
Have a mediocre GRE score on file, which I had to send to Harvard, NYU, Penn, and NU. Did not write an addendum. T3 = master’s degree. Wrote a “Why X” for Penn and Michigan and one of the supplements for Georgetown.
I studied using exclusively LSAT Demon and JurisPrep (one more for the software, the other for an LSAT class). These and getting as much feedback as possible on how you present yourself to schools is what matters!
Hello fellow LSD lurkers! All apps were submitted between December 2nd and 8th. Started studying for the LSAT during the summer of my junior year. Sat the exam twice, highest score was September 2023.
Sent a Why X to Penn, UVA, Duke, Georgetown, Michigan Legal internship experience (w/ District Attorney) Massive upwards trend in GPA (started college pre-med, wrote addendum for all schools)
No wisdom to share with you just yet. Hang tight!
Undergrad in English from a rural college in MO.
Never count yourself out (especially when it comes to stats!) – putting together a cohesive, polished application that you’re proud of goes a loooong way sometimes It only takes one yes :)
