Admitted to University of Texas at AustinDon’t overthink things, cross your t’s and dot you i’s, and most importantly be patient and relax (as much as you can), it is going to be okay, even if you don’t get into your dream school.
Duke: wrote Why Duke - got in the day after going UR3 NDLS: Did not write a Why NDLS. Went UR5 before being accepted UT: No Why Texas GW: No Why GW BU: Wrote Why BU
It’ll all work out. Probably.
Very thankful I submitted as many apps as I did, honestly didn’t think Penn was really in reach given my C&F. Go Birds!!!
Dedicate yourself to the exam and apply early (don’t rush your written materials but work on them far ahead of time).
Wrote LGBT diversity statement, submitted to all schools. Took the LSAT in August, retook in November, applied in January. Public interest focus noted in application materials
Your worth extends far beyond this process, don’t let it drag you under. Wherever you end up going - you’ll make it work. YEEHEE, GOOD JOB APPLICANT, YOU’RE DOING GOOD, KEEP GOING
Be yourself in your fullness.
There are more important things in life than the law school admissions process. Remember to appreciate how far you’ve come and the people who have supported you along the way. 💖
I left my parting advice on reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/lawschooladmissions/comments/twizdy/doxxy_cycle_recap_and_random_advice_from_a_0l/ Best of luck to all of you!
Very tough cycle this year, but ended up with a result I am extremely happy with. If you are already on this site then you are educated enough about the application process.
Be meticulous in logging all dates into LSD so future 0Ls can be effectively neurotic. Also – follow your gut. If you know you could do better on the LSAT, take it again.
hey! all these stats make this process so impersonal. to some degree, it is, but remember your value! live. laugh. love. i hope you can glean something out of my stats:)
Do your very best in undergrad. Once your GPA is finalized, that’s it. Also, take your time studying for the LSAT. Do not take the test until you are absolutely ready.
IDK but my cycle was pretty hard. Anyways hopefully your’s won’t be so bad. Only landed instate schools but thats understandable I guess a 172 is a dime a dozen for KJD.
SEVERELY better cycle compared to 2022-2023 for me (◕_◕). I did not retake the LSAT, just strengthened my application parts and applied in November instead of February.
Three LSAT takes 159->163->171. Reapplicant from last cycle, when I applied with 3.86/163. Full 2021 cycle details: https://www.lsd.law/users/creep/AlcoholicCockroach
