Find ways to distract yourself while you wait. I wish I did a better job managing my stress throughout this process. It’ll all work out as it’s meant to! You’re doing great!

Admitted to Cornell UniversityApply to “soft safeties” i.e. schools where you’re pretty damn certain you’ll get in BUT would also actually consider going there–it may be where you end up, and thats ok.
SEVERELY better cycle compared to 2022-2023 for me (◕_◕). I did not retake the LSAT, just strengthened my application parts and applied in November instead of February.
apply early, broadly, and write all the optional essays! T10 ug, international fellowship after graduating, interest in specific area of law that came up in my essays
Wrote Why X essays for Duke, UVA, Michigan, Penn (core values), and Cornell. Submitted diversity/lived experience statements to all schools that had the option.

Painful to underperform but makes sense as a KJD without a strong narrative beyond finance undergrad -> biglaw M&A. Looking forward to Cornell and riding out WLs.
good luck to my stats twins out there!!
UnequalSuperSandpiper left no wisdom for posterity… (◕︵◕) UVA UR3 2/15, UR4 2/21 Duke to top of Lawhub Status Checker 2/24, 3/12 Columbia Hold March 20th
Do not stress for the first two to three months after you submit applications. You cannot tell how things are going to go; don’t bother thinking about them.
Don’t wait until January to apply to schools! I am purely a stats-based applicant. My cycle would turn out better if I wasn’t 20 and had work experience.
Sometimes the first school that accepts you is the one you’ll end up with… call it love at first sight
Applied very late (Feb/Mar), it worked out well for me but I would strongly recommend getting apps in by New Years to save some stress with deadlines
Michigan, Yale, and Columbia status checks don’t work. Penn and Chicago’s are a mess that continually “update” with meaningless format changes.
You will go where you are meant to go. Just try your best, and even if it doesn’t work out the way you wanted it to, you will have no regrets.
This process kinda sucks but you’ll get through it. Try not to obsess too much and realize you can do great things no matter where you attend
wrote why X for Columbia, Cornell, Northwestern, UVA, Michigan, and Duke submitted Diversity Statement for Yale, Harvard, Penn, UVA, and NYU
