I knew my GPA would be lower than many applicants so I chose to apply as early as possible to get ahead. I feel this worked out in my benefit and allowed me to also receive scholarships that I might not have been offered later on if I waited. I also had extensive work experience in a court setting and feel this gave…

“Just because my dreams are different than yours doesn’t mean they’re unimportant.”
I wish I only applied around the area I want to practice in. I’m only considering full tuition. I wasted a lot of time applying to East Coast schools that, in my heart, I’ll never go to. I feel like I couldn’t have had a better outcome even if I had scored higher on the LSAT. I slightly regret even taking it twice;…
Took June & October 2023 LSAT. Both were not my goal score, but I still applied to all law schools listed below. Ultimately decided to retake the exam one more time & did significantly better on the February of 2024 LSAT. I hope this is helpful to those who are discouraged or worried about taking the LSAT one last…
You + me both need to stop obsessively checking this and reddit; they’ll get to us when they get to us.
I have ~1 year WE in the mortgage industry. I’ve also worked 20-30 hours/week in retail and foodservice jobs throughout highschool and undergrad. STEM major from a large public university. Was part of a few clubs and had one leadership position. If you have any questions or want to reach out, you can find me on…
Using a quote from an inspiring movie to sum up my application process: “Reach for the skyy” *Woody *(Toy Story) Majority of schools I applied to were T50. Figured it couldn’t hurt to try- all i need is one. I applied to the T14 schools after I was done with my initial applications because again, why not? Glad I did.
No matter your stats, write a genuine personal statement that shows who you are. Some schools care about stats, especially those trying to climb the rankings, but the good ones want to see more than just a number when they evaluate their applicants. Also, apply to reach schools. You never know what could happen.
GPA is out of 4.0 scale. I am a history major currently going into my Senior year of University and studying for the August and October LSATs! I hope to post some of my scores and positive vibes as I go! I also plan on taking the GRE, and will post how that affects my acceptance as well.
Had my application ready, but waited for my last LoR. Delayed my app by at least two months. My advisor told me that applying sooner would of likely positively impacted my applications.
Your score does not define you, your persistence and effort does.
Email admission offices and ask for CAS fee waivers if you are a student with a LSAC fee waiver. You get either 3 or 6 for free with the fee waiver but was able to get multiple more just by asking. Even if you do not have a LSAC fee waiver it never hurts to ask!
Take your undergrad seriously, or at least time manage better so that you can get a better GPA. An LSAT can be made up but a GPA… that lasts forever. Also help out in your community and genuinely take up hobbies/join clubs that you will enjoy. God bless.
Sometimes life just turns you upside down and you have to really look at yourself to decide what you want. Even then, you still may not know. Patience may be a virtue, but that doesn’t mean I have any. (waiting to hear back from schools)
Hello fellow LSD lurkers! All apps were submitted between December 2nd and 8th. Started studying for the LSAT during the summer of my junior year. Sat the exam twice, highest score was September 2023.
Rec letters really made the difference for me. I worked hard with my reccomenders to let them know how important this portion of the application is and got complimented on my letters from admissions staff
If you are or were prior military so many schools offer fee waivers all you have to do is email the admissions office and ask :) https://reddit.com/r/lawschooladmissions/s/F28AJ7y3nL (◕︵◕)
