Apply to “soft safeties” i.e. schools where you’re pretty damn certain you’ll get in BUT would also actually consider going there–it may be where you end up, and thats ok.

Admitted to George Washington UniversityAlthough both UMN and GWU were tempting, the Iowa offer was too good to pass up. I didn’t want to sit around on waitlists and I reconciled a slightly lower ranking for $$$$
I guess just apply early, lol. I got into comparable schools like GW and Fordham but was waitlisted by BU and BC (at least partially) because I decided to apply too late.
I wish I had studied for the LSAT more - never doubt what you are capable of! And fill out all “Why X” essays!
Do your very best in undergrad. Once your GPA is finalized, that’s it. Also, take your time studying for the LSAT. Do not take the test until you are absolutely ready.
SEVERELY better cycle compared to 2022-2023 for me (◕_◕). I did not retake the LSAT, just strengthened my application parts and applied in November instead of February.
Splitter who bombed their undergrad GPA. Computer Science Major might’ve helped me but if there’s one thing I’ve learned. It is that the LSAT was my saving grace (◕︵◕)
Apply to as many schools as you can. Seriously. Add more safety schools and use the fee waivers you received even if you’re not sure you’re interested in that school.
Give yourself a few years to decide if you really want to go to law school. Then, give yourself more than a month to study for the LSAT. I did one of these things.
Wrote addendum on significant medical events and changes in medical care during my sophomore year that impacted my attendance and thus my grades during that time.
It’s hard to know what advice to give. Try hard on the LSAT, write thoughtful essays, apply to enough schools to have options. It’s never too late to change paths.
The only thing worse than rejection is regret! applied pretty broadly since this is a weird cycle. Planned to go to Loyola, but getting into bama was such a dream.
Went UR3 at University of Pennsylvania on 1/27: for those looking for UR3 data results. NYU HTE in January UVA Interview Invite: did not go UR2 before interview
Applying earlier would have likely to my getting accepted instead of waitlisted for a number of these schools
Wrote Why X essays for Duke, UVA, Michigan, Penn (core values), and Cornell. Submitted diversity/lived experience statements to all schools that had the option.
Take a few years, get a job, save up money. That way you can donate a building to your top choice. LSAT: 160 (4/21) -> 162 (6/21) -> 162 (10/21) -> 169 (1/22)
good luck to my stats twins out there!!
162 og lsat then 168 update in Feb. Take the LSAT so so so very seriously, it was my biggest limiting factor.
