Admitted to University of AlabamaVery thankful I submitted as many apps as I did, honestly didn’t think Penn was really in reach given my C&F. Go Birds!!!
Dedicate yourself to the exam and apply early (don’t rush your written materials but work on them far ahead of time).
All I know is that I know nothing
Take an LSAT prep course. They can raise your LSAT by anywhere between 5 and 15 points. That is the difference between going to a school closer to 100 and a school closer to 15.
I am a First-generation American and have been working as a paralegal in Big Law since right after graduation. I applied as early as I could in the cycle, which I think helped.
Do your very best in undergrad. Once your GPA is finalized, that’s it. Also, take your time studying for the LSAT. Do not take the test until you are absolutely ready.
Wrote a diversity statement (that was unrelated to being an URM), “why x” for Michigan and Berk, interviewed with WashU, and did optional essays whenever available.
Write in your style for your personal statement, show committees what you have to offer and hope to gain, and press apply! Nothing you can do except your best :]
The only thing worse than rejection is regret! applied pretty broadly since this is a weird cycle. Planned to go to Loyola, but getting into bama was such a dream.
My two cents: Apply far and wide if you can afford to do so. I had several surprises in my application results and was grateful that I applied to many schools.
Do not stress for the first two to three months after you submit applications. You cannot tell how things are going to go; don’t bother thinking about them.
Don’t wait until January to apply to schools! I am purely a stats-based applicant. My cycle would turn out better if I wasn’t 20 and had work experience.
Put your trust in God, and all will be revealed. Also, don’t be this guy, please: https://www.reddit.com/r/LSAT/comments/y2bz46/be_honest_with_me_guys/

u/WordyGorl on r/LawSchoolAdmissions if you want to chat about my cycle :) PI goals & hoping to clerk, which is why I am attending Duke!
Never let your UG GPA hold you back. Apply broad, aim for the 75th LSAT median and you’ll be successful. Good luck to all super splitters!
All I can say is shoot your shot and apply to schools you can actually see yourself attending. DREAMS DO COME TRUE! I JUST GOT INTO UVA!
