Good luck don’t suck ʕ•́ᴥ•̀ʔっ♡ Work hard! I don’t really study at all beyond preparing for tests. My scores show it but because I have a more difficult major and research experience I think it gave me a bit of an edge.
Applicant wisdom
Advice applicants left on their LSD.Law profiles, searchable by topic, school, and stats.
Keep taking the LSAT. And take it in-person. I went 162 -> 168 -> 167 -> 168 -> 175. The last one was the only one I didn’t take at home or in a stupid hotel. Remote test-taking sucks. Go to the testing place.
Do every optional zoom, every optional essay, every optional interview. go to every admitted student’s day you can. i had no clue each school would actually differ in terms of culture, academic rigor, etc.
Oct 163 –> Nov 171 my #1 piece of advice is to ask for fee waivers! almost all of my waivers were solicited. i asked for them in september even though I hadn’t taken the LSAT yet and had really good luck
LSAT 171 GPA 3.36 2021–22 cycle

Call schools unless they tell you not to. Even if it’s just with a few general admissions question. I hadn’t gotten a decision from Notre Dame in 7 months and got one the day after calling
Decided to retake the LSAT and reapply after not getting the results I wanted last year. Seems to have turned out for the better! Last year’s results below… https://imgur.com/a/K4JI9lL
Get your best possible GPA and LSAT. Write about what makes you who you are, discuss your identity. Apply early. Apply to lots of T14s. Negotiate your aid, communicate your needs.
If you get diagnosed with a life-changing medical condition during undergrad, take time off IMMEDIATELY instead letting a semester of poor health tank your otherwise stellar GPA.
APPLY! Stop listening to people who say you have no chance at certain schools because of your stats. There’s more to an application than just your gpa and lsat. Shoot your shot!
I am a First-generation American and have been working as a paralegal in Big Law since right after graduation. I applied as early as I could in the cycle, which I think helped.
Our generation’s cooked and my cycle was even more cooked but y’all got this. And apply early
Received my UMN A before fall grades dropped, so at that point my LSAC calculated GPA was a 3.66 NU WL Berkeley WL UMN Full UIUC Full OSU Full (in-state) GW (no $ info yet)
LSAT 163 GPA 3.85 2024–25 cycle
Attending University of Illinois—Urbana Champaign
Start studying for the LSAT early!! Do not compromise yourself by applying with a low score. I firmly believe with enough dedication everyone can test into the 160’s.
Splitter who bombed their undergrad GPA. Computer Science Major might’ve helped me but if there’s one thing I’ve learned. It is that the LSAT was my saving grace (◕︵◕)
Ask for fee waivers. The worst case scenario is someone says no. If they ask why you are applying, take the time to think about it. It may save you an application
Three years of full-time work experience in public service and commissioned officer in the Army National Guard. Wrote a GPA addendum for all apps. Strong LORs.
My two cents: Apply far and wide if you can afford to do so. I had several surprises in my application results and was grateful that I applied to many schools.
Apply earlier than I did.
