Question for the UChicago chat. I'm on the waitlist here. I am planning on writing a LOCI by the May 1 deadline. However, I also wanted to submit an addendum, which is not a LOCI but separate written material, but I'm not sure whether this is "allowed." I read the Waitlist FAQs page that Chicago links to in its waitlist email, but that page simply says that Chicago gives waitlisted applications the opportunity to write a supplemental 1- to 2-page document talking about why they want to go to Chicago, etc. It does not say that one is or is not permitted to write a separate addendum. So, I was wondering if anyone here knew whether this is permitted.

@CanWeTalkAboutTerrenceMalick: what would you addendum be?

does anyone know when we can begin to see WL movement?

???

Based on last year, it looks like they had two waves of WL->A, May 30 and June 15

Some of us in General did some more digging. We think the reason why the waitlist offers begin at the end of May is because their deadline to apply for loans is May 31. Simply put, they have to replace admits that aren't happy with their aid package.

Does anyone know how they notify about WL -> A? Do they do feeler calls? Send an email? I am going to be travelling next couple weeks in different time zone and don't want to miss anything.
8:17
I think I received a feeler yesterday based off what I could find on old Reddit posts. It was an email with subject line: UChicago Law: Request for Updated Info
11:33
Also got a feeler (if that's what it is?). Happy with my current plans so I withdrew. Good luck to all waiting on an update!
