Aloofchap's wisdom
Give yourself ample time for the LSAT.- I studied on and off for about a year, then kicked it into high gear and studied roughly an hour every day for about 10 months. I also took the LSAT 3 times. The exam can change the trajectory of your life, you owe it to yourself to give it your best shot.
The LSAT is not an IQ test.- I truly believe it is learnable for most people willing to work. Don’t let your score define you, just keep grinding. Trust me, I’m just a normal dude.
Take care of that GPA.- I am well aware that there are many interesting classes you can take in undergrad, however, if a top law school is your goal, you should be strategic with the courses you take.
GPA and LSAT are king.- Schools like to say they are holistic, but that is demonstrably BS. Soft’s only help at the margins.
Don’t be too hard on yourself.- Attending any law school period is already a difficult feat in and of itself. Do not compare yourself to people on Reddit, having crazy high stats is not the norm. Every attorney I had ever met before law school didn’t even attend a T20 and they’re all successful (rich).
Don’t try and predict waves by stalking Reddit or LSD.- That stuff isn’t good for your mental health and is honestly a waste of time (Speaking from experience).
Remember this, all you can do is your best. Goodluck Champ.
