Start this process early. If you plan to be applying in the fall, take the LSAT in the spring to leave yourself time to retake if necessary. Start working on your personal statement.
Get as many eyes as possible on your essays.
In undergrad, try to take multiple classes with professors if you think you can do well in those classes. This will make it easier for you to get recommendations that aren’t boilerplate.
While in undergrad, try to do something to demonstrate your interest in law.
If you plan to write your personal statement about your passion for something, you had better have proof that it is truly an interest for you. Have a tangible track record of volunteering/ working/ clubs/ research.
Leadership experience is very important. Get it where you can.
