About & Wisdom

KingTradeMark's wisdom

T3.5 (LGBT+). Did my undergrad in engineering at a good state school in a state I didn’t live in. Texas resident (CAP sucks)
Studied for the LSAT for 2 months. First diagnostic was a 163, ended at a consistent 175. I used Mike Kim’s LSAT Trainer and about 1.5 dozen PTs to study. Had bad test anxiety and stress headaches during test dates.
Not going to R&R. My goals don’t require more than what I got (and I’m very happy with my outcome nonetheless), but extra aid/a better outcome would have been nice.
A lot of people have left better advice than I can ever give, so I’m going to keep it brief:
Study for more than the LSAT than I did, and at a more relaxed rate, especially right before you take it. Right before my first test date I had done a PT every single day for the prior two-ish weeks. Before second date I relaxed down to half a PT per day and that was still probably too much.
I came into this cycle having absolutely no idea of what to expect other than what other people had said online about previous cycles. I applied too late and with too high an expectation of where I could go, probably even during a “normal” cycle. It’s probably going to be bad for a couple more years, but if you’re reading this you’ll probably already know this.
Also don’t be an engineer lol
