OnerousPuffin '23–'24 app cycle Class of 2027 class year

Going into this cycle, UChicago was my top choice, and I was so happy to get in! I realized later on that Chicago was not a city I wanted to be in long-term (having grown up in a small/medium-sized city), and the debt was not something I wanted to take on. I visited the University of Minnesota and fell in love with the city and the school’s culture that was so welcoming and supportive. Plus, negative debt ($10k annual stipend) was a big plus :)

I took the summer off to study full-time for the LSAT, and I think it paid off. My biggest pro was my GPA imo. In my personal statement and diversity statements I dug into being LGBT, working in a law firm as a legal assistant/paralegal, and my immigrant, Spanish-speaking girlfriend.
