Even though my cycle is now over, I encourage all applicants to consider joining the R wave cult. We have cookies.

Some actual information about my cycle, if you care:
⛧ I wrote a GPA addendum even though a lot of people would have said not to. I finished a five-year undergrad program in four years, and both majors that I studied had a lot of additional requirements outside of normal class hours. I essentially used the space to say that I was incredibly proud of having achieved the GPA I did but that I believed it would have been higher given a different degree path. I’m not sure if this helped or hurt me, but on my acceptance letter from Michigan, Dean Z wrote about being really impressed with the combination of majors, so it may have helped there.
⛧ I listed my softs as tier 3 because I’ve received a research award and competitive academic scholarship and am LGBTQ+, but I had initially put myself as T4 because I didn’t feel the need to write a diversity statement (still mostly in the closet) and most of my softs are just general “you’re a person in college who has their life together” things.
⛧ I am really garbage at interviewing, so I’m pretty sure those hurt me across the board.
