About & Wisdom
cupcakelawyer's wisdom
TLDR:
(1) Prioritize LSAT (for scholarships)
(2) Application Quality > Submission Speed
If I did this again, I would retake the LSAT. A higher LSAT can really open doors not only for getting acceptances, but more importantly, merit scholarships.
Everyone says to apply as early as you can, which isn’t bad advice. But based on the experience of myself and people I know, truly polishing your writing and application is more important than applying early. So if that takes you more time then so be it.
(That said, I do wonder if I would have less WLs if I have applied earlier. But I am sure my writing must be the reason I have WLs rather than Rs.)
Good luck to everyone! I hope future applicants can continue to show that holistic review matters and that LSAT score isn’t everything.
