Some advice for future applicants: Apply as early as possible (by which I mean as soon as you are confident your application is ready). There is absolutely no reason not to (that I’m aware of). I’ve spent most of this cycle regretting submitting in mid-October instead of early or mid-September. Sure you’ll have to wait a while before getting your first decisions, but you’ll end up with most if not all of your decisions much earlier as well, and that’s a huge advantage especially if you’ve got an s/o, for instance, who has to start thinking about where he/she/they are going to be working next year.
