OVERALL ADVICE:
APPLY EARLY EARLY. I felt my applications were submitted almost a little bit late. I wasn’t able to catch the “early” wave. I had a handful of people look over my PS. I would recommend maybe two or three max. Make sure your personal statement goes back to “Why law school”. I wrote an addendum regarding my GPA and a diversity statement. I applied with two academic and one professional letter of recommendation. If I could go back, I would tailor my essays to each school and answer the random questions with slightly more thought. I think a big reason why I was accepted to NEU is how specific my application was to the NEU experience. I highly advise speaking directly to students and staff to pinpoint what truly makes X school stand out. Reach out to students on LinkedIn or to school ambassadors. It’s also not what a school can do for you, but what you can do for a school. GOOD LUCK!!
sent and decision are accurate, applications sent in late PMs
hover over the results for random details on how i received my responses
all other dates are pretty accurate (I usually check status apps individually once a day except weekends so I might be off a day or two)
i did kira interview for st. johns- northeastern UR date is guess, happened around holiday break
- fordham date change to 1/27
- gw banner changed to decision made prior to rejection (rip)
- northeastern went UR2 (not sure when, i noticed 2/5 on lsd auto tracker.. i forgot i turned on)
- i believe 2/27 is UR1 for st johns, i haven’t really checked trackers during February after nusl so it could be a ur2 (which it looks like on reddit is just a week difference)
-
northeastern scholarship package to come mid-late march
3/13 update nusl gave enough to max out gov’t loans to pay
8/19 update;
Temple, UMD, UCSF, and St. Johns sent waitlist release emails after their orientation
I did not fill out feeler form for Loyola (sent out 6/9)
I did not attend the waitlist webinar for Temple (sent out May 28)
