A quick definition of determinate hospitalization:

Term: DETERMINATE HOSPITALIZATION

Definition: Determinate hospitalization means staying in the hospital for a specific amount of time, usually because a person has been ordered to stay there by a court or other legal authority.

It's like when you have to go to school for a certain number of days or weeks, but instead of school, it's a hospital and you have to stay there until the time is up. This is usually done when someone needs help with their mental health and safety, and the court or legal authority thinks it's necessary for them to stay in the hospital for a certain amount of time.

A more thorough explanation:

Determinate hospitalization refers to a specific period of time that a person is required to stay in a hospital, usually due to a legal order or civil commitment. This means that the length of the hospitalization is predetermined and cannot be changed without legal authorization.

For example, if a person is deemed a danger to themselves or others due to a mental illness, they may be placed under determinate hospitalization for a certain number of days or weeks. During this time, they will receive treatment and care in a hospital setting until they are deemed safe to leave.

Another example is if a person is convicted of a crime and sentenced to determinate hospitalization as part of their punishment. In this case, the length of their hospitalization is determined by the court and cannot be altered without legal approval.

Overall, determinate hospitalization is a legal concept that ensures individuals receive necessary treatment and care for a specific period of time, as determined by a court or other legal authority.

I mean, idk how it's possible to end birth right citizenship without amending the constitution because to me the 14th amendment is pretty clear about it.
ross ulbricht tried to hire a hitman to kill 5 people
i am not that sympathetic to him

@KnowledgeableRitzyWasp: That might have been an FBI agent. It was most likely him and he was most likely doing it to retrieve stolen funds that corrupt FBI agents stole, but yeah moral gray area but me personally, cool with hitmen. It's not like it is uncommon to hire hitmen. I don't think the action itself is necessarily wrong but the intent behind it can be.

Like, Boeing whistblowers being killed by hitmen = wrong but a guy hiring hitmen to retrieve stolen funds = good to me.

@Dkk: Yeah, for sure. My guess is it'll go to SCOTUS and it'll be 8-1 or 7-2, saying that EO was unconstitutional.
