dignity

Read a random definition: de ventre inspiciendo

A quick definition of dignity:

Dignity is a word that describes being noble and having respect. It can also mean having an important title or position, like a king or queen. Some titles can be passed down from parents to children, while others are given for a person's lifetime. These titles are called dignities. They can be created by special documents or by being knighted. Sometimes, a person can have a right to a title because of their family history or because they were given land.

A more thorough explanation:

Definition: Dignity is the state of being noble and having a sense of self-respect. It can also refer to an elevated title or position, or a person who holds such a title.

For example, a king or queen holds a position of dignity, as do other high-ranking officials like presidents or prime ministers. In some societies, there are hereditary titles of nobility that confer dignity upon the holder, such as a duke or earl.

Dignity can also refer to a right to hold a title of nobility, which may be hereditary or for life. For instance, a person may be granted a knighthood for their service to their country, which confers upon them the title of "Sir" or "Dame" and a sense of dignity.

Overall, dignity is about having a sense of self-worth and respect, whether it comes from one's own actions or from the recognition of others.

@mastermonkey45: Looking at some of the recent decisions in relation to when they went complete, I'd say it's a good sign. It seems many declines were sent within about 5-6 weeks of completion. Given those were applications that were SENT in January, I'd say that means you're still solidly in the running. :)

Sent an app to OSU in early december and have STILL not heard back
