Simple English definitions for legal terms

enticement of a child

Read a random definition: penal sanction

A quick definition of enticement of a child:

Enticement of a Child: When someone tries to convince a child to go with them to a secret place, like a room or a car, with the intention of doing something bad to the child, it is called enticement of a child. This is against the law and is very dangerous for children.

A more thorough explanation:

Definition: Enticement of a child is a criminal act where someone invites, persuades, or tries to persuade a child to go with them to a secluded place, building, room, or vehicle with the intention of committing a sexual act that is against the law.

Example: A man offers a young girl candy and asks her to come with him to his car. He tells her that he has more candy and toys in the car. The man's intention is to take the girl to a secluded place and commit a sexual act against her.

Explanation: This example illustrates enticement of a child because the man is trying to persuade the girl to go with him to a secluded place with the intention of committing a sexual act that is against the law. The man is using candy and toys to lure the girl into his car, which is a common tactic used by child predators.

@mastermonkey45: Looking at some of the recent decisions in relation to when they went complete, I'd say it's a good sign. It seems many declines were sent within about 5-6 weeks of completion. Given those were applications that were SENT in January, I'd say that means you're still solidly in the running. :)

Sent an app to OSU in early december and have STILL not heard back
