Immediate possession refers to the direct or personal acquisition or retention of something. It is the exercise of control over property to the exclusion of all others. This means that the person who has immediate possession has the right to use and benefit from the property.
For example, if you buy a car and take possession of it immediately, you have immediate possession of the car. You have the right to use it and exclude others from using it without your permission.
Another example is when a tenant rents an apartment. The tenant has immediate possession of the apartment and can use it exclusively during the lease term.
Immediate possession is different from constructive possession, which is control or dominion over property without actual possession or custody of it.
