A quick definition of lex deraisnia:

Term: lex deraisnia

Definition: Lex deraisnia is a type of law that allows a person to deny an accusation if it goes against reason or probability. This means that if someone is accused of something that doesn't make sense or is unlikely to have happened, they can use this law to defend themselves.

A more thorough explanation:

Lex Deraisnia is a legal term that means a law where someone denies an accusation because it doesn't make sense or is unlikely to be true.

  • John was accused of stealing a car, but he denied it because he was out of town at the time. This is an example of lex deraisnia because John showed that the accusation was against reason.
  • Susan was accused of cheating on a test, but she denied it because she had studied hard and knew the material well. This is an example of lex deraisnia because Susan showed that the accusation was unlikely to be true.

Lex Deraisnia is a way for someone to defend themselves against false accusations by showing that the accusation doesn't make sense or is unlikely to be true.

@mastermonkey45: Looking at some of the recent decisions in relation to when they went complete, I'd say it's a good sign. It seems many declines were sent within about 5-6 weeks of completion. Given those were applications that were SENT in January, I'd say that means you're still solidly in the running. :)

Sent an app to OSU in early december and have STILL not heard back
Give it 4 more weeks at least. Everyone in this chat needs to wait longer.
