public nuisance

Read a random definition: term of office

A quick definition of public nuisance:

A public nuisance is when someone does something that bothers a lot of people in a community. It can be something that is bad for people's health, something that smells bad, or something that gets in the way of people using public places like parks or streets. It's against the law and can be punished by the government. Sometimes, something can be both a public nuisance and a private nuisance, which means it bothers both a lot of people and just one person or a few people.

A more thorough explanation:

A public nuisance is any behavior or activity that interferes with the rights of the general public. The exact definition of public nuisance can vary depending on the state, but it is typically outlined in both civil and criminal laws.

  • In California, public nuisance includes anything that is harmful to health, indecent, offensive to the senses, obstructs the free use of property, or unlawfully blocks the use of public spaces.
  • In North Dakota, public nuisance affects an entire community or neighborhood or a significant number of people, even if the extent of the annoyance or damage is not equal.
  • In Montana, public nuisance includes conduct that endangers safety or health, is offensive to the senses, obstructs the free use of property, or involves premises where people gather to engage in illegal activities.

These examples illustrate how public nuisance can take many forms, from pollution to illegal activities. The common thread is that the behavior or activity interferes with the rights of the general public, rather than just one individual or a small group of people.

I mean, idk how it's possible to end birth right citizenship without amending the constitution because to me the 14th amendment is pretty clear about it.
ross ulbricht tried to hire a hitman to kill 5 people
i am not that sympathetic to him

@KnowledgeableRitzyWasp: That might have been an FBI agent. It was most likely him and he was most likely doing it to retrieve stolen funds that corrupt FBI agents stole, but yeah moral gray area but me personally, cool with hitmen. It's not like it is uncommon to hire hitmen. I don't think the action itself is necessarily wrong but the intent behind it can be.

Like, Boeing whistblowers being killed by hitmen = wrong but a guy hiring hitmen to retrieve stolen funds = good to me.

@Dkk: Yeah, for sure. My guess is it'll go to SCOTUS and it'll be 8-1 or 7-2, saying that EO was unconstitutional.

Indeed. I need a count for how many exectuive orders he has signed and how many already have pending lawsuits.
