  This is smuggling because the individuals involved are knowingly importing goods that are prohibited by law due to intellectual property violations and their counterfeit nature, without declaring them to customs.

• Example 2: Evading Duties and Taxes

  A tourist purchases a high-value diamond necklace in a foreign country where it is significantly cheaper.
