Uxor

Read a random definition: racial profiling

A quick definition of Uxor:

Term: Uxor

Definition: Uxor means wife. It is an old-fashioned word that was used in legal documents to refer to a husband's wife. It was often written as "et uxor" or "et ux." This meant "and wife" and showed that the wife's interests were being represented along with the husband's. Nowadays, this phrase is not used much anymore, and the wife's name is usually listed instead. In some places, it can also refer to a spouse of any gender.

A more thorough explanation:

Definition: Uxor is an old-fashioned word that means "wife." It comes from Latin and is sometimes seen in legal documents as "et uxor" or "et ux." This means "and wife" and is used to show that the wife's interests are being represented along with the husband's. For example, in the case Smith et uxor v. State, the wife's name is not listed separately because her interests are being represented by her husband.

In most places, this phrase is no longer used and the wife's name would be listed separately. However, in some areas, it can be used to refer to a spouse of any gender.

Example: John Smith et uxor v. State

Explanation: In this example, "et uxor" is used to show that John Smith's wife's interests are also being represented in the case. Her name is not listed separately because it is assumed that her husband is representing her as well.

Example: The deed to the property is in the name of John Smith et ux.

Explanation: In this example, "et ux" is used to show that John Smith and his wife jointly own the property. This phrase is sometimes used in legal documents to indicate joint ownership by a married couple.

@mastermonkey45: Looking at some of the recent decisions in relation to when they went complete, I'd say it's a good sign. It seems many declines were sent within about 5-6 weeks of completion. Given those were applications that were SENT in January, I'd say that means you're still solidly in the running. :)

Sent an app to OSU in early december and have STILL not heard back
Give it 4 more weeks at least. Everyone in this chat needs to wait longer.
