Virginia

Read a random definition: informed consent

A quick definition of Virginia:

Virginia is a state in the United States that has laws to prevent unwanted emails, also known as spam. These laws also apply to commercial phone calls and faxes. Virginia's criminal law also deals with electronic commerce. These laws help protect people from receiving unwanted messages and prevent businesses from sending them.

A more thorough explanation:

Virginia is a state in the United States that has laws to regulate commercial email, spam, telephone, and fax solicitation, and electronic commerce. These laws are designed to protect consumers from unwanted and potentially harmful messages and to ensure that businesses follow ethical practices when communicating with customers.

For example, Virginia Code § 8.01-40.1 prohibits the sending of unsolicited commercial email, or spam, to Virginia residents. This means that businesses cannot send emails promoting their products or services to people who have not given them permission to do so. Violators of this law can face civil penalties and fines.

Another example is the Virginia Telephone Privacy Protection Act, which regulates commercial solicitation by means of telephone and fax. This law requires businesses to obtain consent from consumers before making telemarketing calls or sending fax advertisements. It also prohibits the use of automatic dialing systems and pre-recorded messages without prior consent.

Overall, these laws help to protect consumers from unwanted and potentially harmful messages while promoting ethical business practices. By following these laws, businesses can build trust with their customers and avoid legal consequences.

@mastermonkey45: Looking at some of the recent decisions in relation to when they went complete, I'd say it's a good sign. It seems many declines were sent within about 5-6 weeks of completion. Given those were applications that were SENT in January, I'd say that means you're still solidly in the running. :)

Sent an app to OSU in early december and have STILL not heard back
