@wealthofnations: I just got an R lmao
@AboardStereotypedCrab: Guess they really don't like the low GPA while attempting to establish their medians being a newish program - that is genuinely bizarre
No way they should be rejecting any 169s, regardless of GPA lol strange program. You'd think unconditionals and attempting to raise the LSAT media would be the mission for a program that wants to establish itself/ establish a ranking
@happygirl292: Congrats! Not trying to rain on the parade haha Nashville is a cool city, I lived there for a year somewhat recently and Belmont is in a nice area. School has promise. Feels like a hefty conditional though. I'm not sure where exactly the information is located, but def check the scholarship retention numbers. Those will give a better idea imo if the conditional is as bad as it sounds or not
Feel like I'm just slandering Belmont in the chat here like a ex-girlfriend haha definitely unintentional. The school has promise, as I said. Just wish they were a bit more competitive with their offers.
Yeah me too. Went from liking Belmont, great location and seemed on the come up to now I'm just their #1 hater. Especially bc my experience in talking to the admissions office they were kind of just dicks.
But am genuinely happy for anyone who gets a solid offer and attends
Belmont is pretty sus not gonna lie
Was expecting full ride offer with 167 LSAT
Only got 50%
And conditional scholarships are like heck no, run the other direction. so many people online saying they lost their scholarship then had to pay 50,000 tuition for the final two years. not worth the risk
Lmao adding to the Belmont hate, just got the R after admissions called twice to ask me the same 3 questions, tell me my numbers "looked good", and ask if I'd still consider the school without a scholarship :)

they rejected me after calling me and asking me if i would go there without scholarship because my stats were too low for scholarship
SteelersReignSupreme
15:44
and it is wayyyy lower ranked than schools that accepted me and gave me unconditional scholarship.
Yeah they called me and essentially asked how would I avoid being lazy in law school since my UGPA was low.
what do you guys think of the 3+3 @belmont? Will you get higher chance of acceptance ?
decision made but no email yet...for those who have had this happen, how long until you received the email? lol it will be my first decision of the cycle so I am getting nervous.
11:03
For those who have gotten accepted how long afterwards did you hear about scholarships? or was that included in the original email?
@arose7: I got it the next day, scholarships are typically for those over the 76th. Not sure if both or just one
^I got scholly for above both 50th, below 75th. Next day got an email

@NoisyIrateLoon: that tells me they really do not want me to attend. Good to know, then they offer 70% of their students scholarships it tells me they don't really want me to attend
@BulbasaurNoLikeCardio: I think it has to do with the Military service. I think that I saw someone else on reddit mention that they did not receive merit aid because of money from the government, not sure but I would look on reddit.

@NoisyIrateLoon: Too bad GI bills don't fully cover law school or last forever because mine won't cover the full degree or full cost making me more dependent on student loans and scholarships. Will see how it plays out in the end when I attempt scholarship negotiations because getting nothing makes you feel shitty
BulbasaurNoLikeCardio
13:17
@NoisyIrateLoon: like even when they asked in the application how we plan to fund the schools I wrote Student loans and scholarships as my GI bill will run out.

If I am being real though Belmont is my number 1/2 choice because their location, mentorship programs and great outcomes. I plan to use any other school that accepts me to help negotiate scholarships. I am just salty they did not offer me anything at all.
@BulbasaurNoLikeCardio: yes, I would reach out and discuss this with their financial aid department. I am planning on using other offers to ask for a bit more too later on. However, not sure if you should reach out to them sooner rather than later to explain your situation and have them reevaluate your situation before they give out most of their scholarship funds

@NoisyIrateLoon: I plan to ask December/January so not late in the cycle as because of personal reasons I have to commit to a school by late January. Since it is still relatively early I am hoping for reconsideration

Status checker says that a decision has been made & it will be emailed. When should I expect to hear from them? (Current date: 12/4)
Status checker says a decision has been made and I will receive an email in 24 hours (12/11). The anticipation is KILLING me.
