anyone address go long?
CaringEquableGuppy
14:01
No did yours?
15:20
what does "address go long" mean?
InconclusiveMilitaryPheasant
10:46
It means your address on the status checker changed from "rd" to "road", "st" to "street" etc. Presumably for a more formal acceptance letter in the mail
InconclusiveMilitaryPheasant
10:46
No mine hasn't gone long
15:40
Thx for explaining! Mine has not gone long either
my address is currently long ... but not sure if it was initially input as long

So why does Michigan have some people go UR (date change) and not others?
ClassyPleasantHeron
13:34
@CaringEquableGuppy: Michigan uses a very antiquated admissions software (a variant of PeopleSoft) and sometimes has to make changes to applications that aren't a decision. Those changes are the "date changes" that we see as applicants. The changes could be anything, which is why they aren't meaningful to us.
Did anyone get an A just now?
If I went complete on 10/8, should I have an address or date change yet if it's hopefully good news (aka am i screwed for not having that rn), or have they not gotten to this w early october apps yet?

any results today?
any reason Michigan is taking longer than other apps to go complete for me?
ClassyPleasantHeron
10:32
@LeanPremiumChimpanzee: That's hard to say w/o knowing the other schools. U-M gets more applications than most schools, their ED deadline is approaching, and they use enrollment software that is older than we are. It could be any of those things, or something else.
makes sense thanks! For some reason my Duke App went straight to review which I found interesting
I think that may be the default status for Duke upon receipt
still trapped in Incomplete - In Process after 3 weeks
ClassyPleasantHeron
15:51
I don't know why they call it incomplete. That is so unnecessary and misleading.

Anyone who received an A have any tips or suggestions that they think helped their application? I am in-state, so if any michiganders have tips, lmk!
17:46
Have any Michigan residents been admitted yet?
