Yes I received it also
SomedaySoon
13:28
I think it may be automatically sent to everyone on the waitlist.
SomedaySoon
13:29
@nugsnotdrugs: ugh is the lease for another law school you were accepted to or are you just moving? That’s a tough space to be in so hopefully you can receive an update soon
SomedaySoon
13:31
Yesterday was the second seat deposit due date so that’s probably why they sent out the email today too
nugsnotdrugs
13:42
@SomedaySoon: yes the lease is for another law school 🥲
nugsnotdrugs
13:43
But is it common for law school or UNLV to send a survey like that or wasnit becausw not many people deposited lol
I applied last year, WL, and I got the same survey. Only difference this year is the part time evening interest. Which is weird because last year I asked if there are available seats for part-time could I offer interest in those? and they said no, only in what I applied for
I think its false hope.
nugsnotdrugs

@BumpyRudeVulture: thats crazy.
nugsnotdrugs

They be playing with our emotions.
lol seriously!

Someone got a WL->acceptance. But they received the email over the weekend, and the email's context was "stating that the admissions committee was meeting this week to discuss waitlisted candidates." We did not get the same email.
nugsnotdrugs
17:54
Also they retook the Lsat and did better; I don't think I should have hope since my stats still low lol
They're definitely focused on LSAT since their ranking has been going down. Last year they waited until the week before classes began to send the final decision, so Im not gunna keep waiting :/
nugsnotdrugs
11:58
Yeah and I was thinking if they did want me, I would have heard by now. Imma sign my lease F it!!!
Did everyone recieve the email asking if you were waiting to consider a part time program if accepted?
this was the email I recieved was everyone's like this: Our admissions committee has asked about your continued interest in Boyd Law. Please promptly complete this form to let us know. Warm regards, Dean Lue Sang
nugsnotdrugs
18:58
Only to complete the for you quoted, not an email about part time. But the form/survey asked if you'd considered part time.

I was accepted from the waitlist. Got the call on Tuesday but I also applied for PT Evening. Hoping you all get good news soon. 🤞🏾 They said they don’t send final decisions out until the first week of classes because they have admitted people into the first week even though it’s uncommon.
nugsnotdrugs
19:30
@SomedaySoon: Congratulations!!! Im so happy for you!
SomedaySoon

Thank you!!
You originally applied to the PT evening? or full time, then responded to the email willing to accept PT?
And congrats!!! thats so exciting
SomedaySoon

Sorry just seeing this but I originally applied to PT evening.
After distasteful communication with the dean, I would prefer to withdraw from the waitlist. He isn't very pleasant to communicate with and takes things extremely personally.
nugsnotdrugs
9:46
@InvincibleSafeDwarf: oh no, sorry to hear, are you okay? Did you talk to him regarding waitlist or something else and it was a bad experience?
InvincibleSafeDwarf
2:48
Yes I did, when the waitlist email was sent out. I sent an email to gain clarity and explain how the question presented to switch to part time appeared to be a snub to students who actually want part time, their only option and completed the additional part time essay in their application. He took it personal and called me harsh, aggressive and ill professional. I would expect the Dean of a Law School to welcome feedback and applaud applicants for advocating for themselves and other perspective students in a similar situations. I wasn't happy with the way he spoke to me.. and I spoke to others who have had a similar experience with him. I expected more from Boyd, truthfully.
nugsnotdrugs
17:45
Wow thats really disheartening. He's the unprofessional one for not listening/considering concerns from applicants. Maybe its a sign the school's not the one. I hope you'll be going to a school that's better for you :')
nugsnotdrugs

Maybe you and others could report it to someone else in admissions 🤷‍♂️
