17:22
don't get a letter of rec from someone who you didn't work for or take a class with; this is like the number one rule of LORs
17:22
I heard the Cornell fee waiver went out today, if you got it, what were your stats? It looks like I missed this one, but I had gotten all the other T14s thus far so I'm a lil confused
17:23
ok good to know. would duke and unc count as getting me east coast placement or is that the south lol
17:23
What about someone I drink copious amounts of wine with?
17:23

im not sure yet that's the problem. i like the northeast. new york is cool but expensive so im iffy about living there. DC i love. pennsylvania... maybe, i should visit philly (my dad's family is from pennsylvania). also keeping florida as an option cuz all my family is here
17:25
They specifically say they only do merit-based fee waivers thru CRS and not by request though, that's why I ask for them
oh then just chill you’ll probably get one, no tea leaves still
@ChowieBean: UF punches above its weight in florida but is not as good everywhere else
and they’re generous with scholarships if you have florida family ties
17:29
wasp can i ask u more about this in off topic im at max
well maybe no generous, but one of their specific criteria for awarding scholarships is if you have florida family ties. it doesn’t guarantee anything but it’s a major plus
17:34
