I have a 156 LSAT and a 3.05 GPA, I've started working full time at a law firm (legal assistant) over the last 2 years during undergrad, and during those last two years I've maintained a 3.5 GPA. I'm looking to get into a school that's ranked at about ~100, I also don't know if I would be a URM, I'm half Argentinian (Mother was born and raised there, I'm a second gen American). Am I cooked or is there a chance for me?
23:11
In terms of marrying, thats a tough one. Thats very hard to tell.
23:12
Did your mother attend college? @toto2099
23:12
I think you could easily get a school around the 100 rank. Just depends on where.

Not in America, she did go to one in Argentina but idk if that counts. My father did attend undergrad only, but thats a whole legal affair and were estranged

Looking to get into University at Buffalo
23:14
Yeah, you have really good odds. You could say you are first gen college student if you want and play up the URM stuff.
23:14
you’re not cooked bc your lsat is at their median
23:16
when you get to the lower ranked schools data on this website is a little more scarce but there are several people with your stats that got into comparable or higher ranked schools

Thank you both! I've been stressing about the less than stellar GPA for a while, just found out about this site. I've been fighting like hell to bring my GPA up from what it was during my first two years. I was a mess and my GPA reflects it heavily lol.
23:17
okay so what you’re going to want to do is write an addendum explaining your GPA
23:18
there are lots of resources online for how to do this but you want to talk about the circumstances that negatively impacted you and show substantial improvement since

in what tier of softs would the critical language scholarship fall under?
23:21
soft tiers are not really an objective standard, it’s all perceptual
