I do not engage with them usually. I think it’s kind of a ridiculous expectation that you must watch 10 movies and four tv shows to have the appropriate context for the next slop they produce

I think there’s a difference between Marvel and A24 in that A24 is more of a producer/distributor and has zero creative control over the movie

predatory is a loaded word. there's strong evidence that, especially for Black men, joining the military leads to upward social mobility

also, some controversial evidence that the best performing demo in the military is Hispanic men, who may or may not be targeted by recruiters because it is a lot easier to fix your parents or spouses immigration status if you are in the military
