Tell us what's important to you

I worked for one of those -- poor departments are already super underfunded and overwhelmed
10:01
and they could only give unpaid internships :,)
soap
10:01
As a labor person, if they try to cut one of those departments I'm going to be so disappointed
soap
10:01
I think a lot of folks don't realize how important they are'
10:02
morgan lewis, littler mendelson etc will celebrate until they realize they have no work from companies anymore bc no more unions to bust
10:03
same with arbitrators. they'll be out of work too. let alone all the union staffers and labor lawyers
10:03
there's a whole labor industry that relies on the NLRB to maintain equilibrium
soap
10:04
Yepppp. it's concerning. Plus if you're a lawyer at all, you should be in support of the justice and fact-finding process
soap
10:04
Nuance and investigation is so important, no matter whether you're on labor or company side
10:05
deeply concerned what the trump admin will do with my agency
10:05
exactly
10:05
wheres jaime lanister when you need him
soap
10:05
That was definitely my biggest takeaway from my labory experiences over the years -- these issues are always incredibly complex
soap
10:06
If they get rid of all labor laws, I guess I'll pivot to tech law, I have a little study experience in that
soap
10:08
But, really, the NLRB and EEOC do so much to keep checks and balances in the system, I saw firsthand how companies were really spurred to think critically about choices due to those agencies

10:25
@BigStrongBug I had one yesterday. It’s pretty relaxed. I’m sure you’ll do great!

10:25
Oooh, good luck!

Instead of Why Yale, they might ask you about the “pros and cons” of Yale which is what they did for me. Might be helpful to prepare a con ahead of time if you haven’t already!
u got this dude !!!
unc fee waiver lessgo time to actually work on that app now

Odds we get HLS II today? Last year they did II on 11/02 and 11/08
10:44
might depend on how far along they've gotten with interviews already
10:44
they indicated on their blog that interviews would begin this week so i could see them holding off on sending out more invites until they've already completed a good chunk of the interviews they requested
Thanks for the info!
