nah gotta stay local cant go somewhere, realistically

if you are concerned with assets playing a part in financial aid then maybe you could set up a trust or an asset in a family member's name
Yeah, I would say taking out less loans would be better than spending it.
11:24
definitely agree with tha

Having that money is not going to impact need based grants much since aside from HYS most schools don't give much need based aid (and it's only in the form of loans).

seems like majority take out massive loans though? i was under the impression a significant chunk of students graduate with 100+ in loans
11:26
well that doesnt make it a smart move if you can avoid it
@shaquilleoatmeal: big difference between 120k in debt and 400k
cant put down the cup

cant put down the cup
pay full sticker for tuition, medival insurance, add in living costs, you are looking at around 400k total cost

i mean if i can have loans pay for the time being than i can use my savings for my mortgage and other life expenses - if that makes sense?
not even including opportunity cost - you have a BA, probs could get
300k+ working for thsoe three years

yeah but loans accrue interest
@shaquilleoatmeal: there's also insanely high interest on those loans, though.
it is a 750k+ investment
Scholarships can move that back down to half a million
i read that as midieval insurance
@myproudestnut: morning, balls
11:28
this site does a decent job at calculating loan repayment per school based on median salary and loan info
11:28
part of why i am so high on houston is how fast their grads pay off debt
im glove u fool
@KnowledgableBytch: where the hell are you getting 300k+ working for three years

yea ill have to keep playing around with numbers, appreciate the feedback lsd fam
very few jobs (apart from management consulting or IB) would even make 6 figures with just a bachelor's
and even those you won't be saving six figures
