Reapplicant from 20’-21’ cycle. Last year I applied with a 167 and got: A: UNH with $$$, Santa Clara with $ WL -> R: BU, BC, ND, Northeastern R: UCLA, USC, Berkeley I applied to more competitive schools this year and things are looking more favorable. It’s kind of odd how important a high LSAT is. My LSAC GPA is…

Man! I wish I applied earlier! Dedicate a couple months to your personal narrative, and take a whole year for the LSAT. I only dedicated a couple months, which I really regret since taking a whole year would’ve yielded results more exacting to my potential… I think! Applied to pretty much every school in January…
I wrote essays for Berkeley, Michigan, and Penn. Ultimately I am happy that I got in via ED2 at Penn though I did have to withdraw most of my apps before a decision could be rendered. That plus the wild nature of the 2020-21 application cycle means that my data will be of limited utility if things eventually calm…
If it’s been more than three months at UVA with no update, def send a LOCI!!! she/her
Didn’t write any “Why X” essays but wrote optional essays for all the schools that had them GULC - group interview in November, “special group” in the priority waitlist in December, admitted off the waitlist in April UChicago - interview with an admissions staff member in December, waitlisted in January L&C -…

Get your foot in the door if you can– it confirmed that I want to go into law. Entertainment law is the final goal. DM for info about…
Don’t be shy to ask for fee waivers from all schools that have that option. Some schools have a form you can fill out for need/merit fee waivers and are very generous. Ask for your recommendations as early as possible, and try to give a due date of a few weeks to a month before you intend to submit to account for…
Wrote diversity statement about my , PS talks specifically about wanting to work as assistant DA or in Dept. of Justice, good recs from professors and past internship employer that i worked with closely. get a good therapist Disclaimer: I withdrew from Columbia in December (I have receipts, I promise I did not break my ED contract) but they didn’t mark that for some reason (I’m pretty sure my withdrawal email got accidentally deleted based on a conversation w/ admissions), I’m adding my decision anyway in the name…
If you have a C&F issue related to your undergrad’s academic code, certain schools will require a letter from a dean, and won’t process your application as complete until they have received this letter. Plan ahead!
LGBTQ+, hopefully headed for Boston BL! Personalized PS paragraphs for each school, diversity statement; usually wrote the optional essays but only up to a point. Wrote every scholarship essay Vandy threw at me. Also, truly terrible interviewer with GULC that hadn’t read my resume and didn’t even know if I had…
LSAT. It matters. (Although I killed myself studying, I still wish I had studied even more) Take your time when filling up the applications. Ask for fee waivers (if money is a concern). You would be surprised how many will provide. Apply early (or so I’ve heard - Im not too keen of this advice) Enjoy the Process
Still waiting on Howard University to get back to me…. I am in my last semester of law school. Also, if you are interested in Public Interest (NGOs, Government, etc.) please check out the Public Student Loan Forgiveness Program (PSLF)! It makes large amounts of debt doable. Talk to the school’s financial aid office!
I applied knowing that I wanted to go to school in the triangle (Duke or UNC) and the rest of my applications were kind of just for negotiation purposes if I could use them. When I got the WL at Duke, it really stung, but when I got accepted off hold at UNC I was so excited & I can’t wait to be a Tar Heel in the fall.
Take a deep breath. You’re not your LSAT or your UGPA or the school you attend.
I have always thought that one man of tolerable abilities may work great changes, and accomplish great affairs among mankind if he first forms a good plan, and, cutting off all amusements or other employments that would divert his attention, makes the execution of that same plan his sole study and business.
