Combination of T2/T3 softs with relevant work experience in a niche interest. Applied as soon as applications opened for each school and received decisions during first wave except for NYU, Yale, and Stanford.
Don’t rush applications, and ask for help if you need it! I sent several flawed apps because I was so nervous about getting them in early, and I didn’t know who I could ask about the process (I’m first gen).
Do every optional zoom, every optional essay, every optional interview. go to every admitted student’s day you can. i had no clue each school would actually differ in terms of culture, academic rigor, etc.
Applied for Fall 2021, only one acceptance at a school I wasn’t thrilled about, so I’m reapplying for Fall 2022 while working in the county courthouse in my hometown. Taking my third LSAT in August ’21.

Sent a Why X to Penn, UVA, Duke, Georgetown, Michigan Legal internship experience (w/ District Attorney) Massive upwards trend in GPA (started college pre-med, wrote addendum for all schools)
-Non-URM SA Hispanic -save your money and do not aply to schools you would not go to unless you can use their acceptance to your advantage for scholarship purposes. -Good luck❤ All glory to God
Don’t be like me. Don’t apply late. But if you do, never give up. It sounds corny, but it’s true. Life works in mysterious ways, but above all, it rewards people who are determined. Be that person.
everything works out the way it’s supposed to 🦋
Wrote Why Berkeley, Why UVA, Why Michigan No interview for GULC or any other programs so far Have prior Masters degree and 5+ years of work experience in field related to that degree.
Veteran Application Resource - Service 2 School Veteran Scholarship Opportunity - Pat Tillman Foundation Apply early and broadly. Tell your story and shoot your shot! Good luck.
Duke: wrote Why Duke - got in the day after going UR3 NDLS: Did not write a Why NDLS. Went UR5 before being accepted UT: No Why Texas GW: No Why GW BU: Wrote Why BU
Be kind to yourself. You don’t know what a law school is looking for. Just because a school doesn’t accept you, doesn’t mean you are not a good applicant or that you didn’t work hard!
I left my parting advice on reddit: https://www.reddit.com/r/lawschooladmissions/comments/twizdy/doxxy_cycle_recap_and_random_advice_from_a_0l/ Best of luck to all of you!
Leave yourself enough time to retake the LSAT, do research before it’s time to send off applications, and don’t drop out of undergrad bc it really hurts your GPA later.
Start studying for the LSAT early!! Do not compromise yourself by applying with a low score. I firmly believe with enough dedication everyone can test into the 160’s.
You’ll never regret giving it your best! Also, apply early. Even if it works out, the stress of waiting until the very end to apply and receive decisions isn’t fun.
Wrote a diversity statement (that was unrelated to being an URM), “why x” for Michigan and Berk, interviewed with WashU, and did optional essays whenever available.
