I hope these comments do not express hubris—this is my best attempt at an objective assessment based upon what I consider to be a very strong application. I have multiple ~T2 softs and sharpened my essays for nearly a year. Strategy Lesson - write all optionals I wrote all the “optional” essays. This seems to be…

Admitted to University of California—Los AngelesWelcome to my profile! Feel free to peruse my “decision diary” below :) April 20, 2026: WL -> R @ Wisconsin Okay, I guess that’s one less LOCI to write? I don’t know if I would have wrote one anyway. I have NO clue what Wisconsin admissions is looking for this year, but I guess it’s not me. March 30, 2026: R @ USC I…
Don’t deny yourself before the school can do it for you. You have to be willing to face failure to reap success. (GhoodGirl2Harvard on reddit to see any previous advice; likely not currently active on account for current questions)
Welcome to BINGO’s comprehensive and far-too-detailed thoughts on law school in general. Now that I’m part of the way through 1L, i’ve come back to update this, add info, organize it better, and get rid of anything I thought was inaccurate. This isn’t advice for everyone, its just my thoughts on what worked for me.…
LSAT 159 GPA 3.89 2024–25 cycle
Attending University of California—Los Angeles
here to give hope to reverse-splitters 🥰 dont listen to reddit - application materials > lsat score!! I was told by pre-law advisors/reddit to not even bother applying to half the schools i applied to, and I ended up receiving 2 T-14 full-tuition scholarships this past cycle let the admissions process be a personal…
“The only time a lawyer can cry is when it’s all over.” – Diego Armando I stressed myself out way too much over this process, agonizing over how many recommendations to send to each school, which optional essays to complete, etc. My advice is to not do that. If a school is willing to accept 3 or 4 recommendation…
Background (2024-25 Cycle) Applied last year with a 163. I want to preface this next part by emphasizing that this is absolutely not an excuse, but I was working an average of about 55 hours a week for a year at that point and had just come off of a position where I was traveling (300 miles plus) three times a week…
I consider myself extraordinarily lucky to have had a fantastic S2S mentor, a best friend who just completed the process, and the world’s most supportive and incredible spouse to help me along the way. Hopefully, you have the world’s second-best spouse — but in case you don’t, here are some tidbits I wish I had…
Miscellaneous advice I gathered/learned this year that feels worth passing along: I highly suggest deep diving on here and reddit before your application season, it helped me set realistic expectations around A’s/$$/timelines. But then I stayed off of reddit once my apps were in and only rejoined once I had some…
I spent some time working as an engineer. I never considered a law degree in my undergrad, I was just trying to make it through. I decided in March that I wanted to pursue law and took the LSAT in June 2024, using the free LawHub and KhanAcademy tests. Hopefully this cycle will prove fruitful, and it can give…
This cycle’s results are so surreal for me. So much advice and wisdom to leave, but I just want to share a few: You need to believe in yourself. Does not matter where you come from or what school you attended or your connections. Study hard and all will come into place. Study hard, work on your character, gain more…
refreshing this website cannot be your only hobby please go play some baseball or something. have everyone read your essays. make sure they aren’t nice about it. it’s like pulling teeth sometimes but you need them to tell you everything you can improve on. apply broadly and apply early. financial aid matters way…
Take a deep breath, get yourself a cinnamon roll, and watch the office <3 ““You miss 100% of the shots you don’t take” -Wayne Gretzky” -Michael Scott I panic applied to so many schools because I was unsure how my cycle would turn out as a reverse splitter. My cycle is proof that the LSAT isn’t everything! My…
Wrote why Xs/supplements for all schools except for HLS and Chicago; wrote a 4-page PS for Berkeley and submitted it to Chicago as well. I recommend keeping an open mind. I haven’t thought a second about going to CLS before I got in. Thoughts and feelings come and go all the time – embrace them and know that…
My handle is the same on Reddit if you have any questions (or if you want to view my cycle recap which includes more about me), and do feel free to DM there (as I don’t check this often). Best of luck to you in your application cycle! I’m so grateful to have received the AnBryce scholarship, and I have a lot of…
“I have no idea where this will lead us, but I have a definite feeling it will be a place both wonderful and strange.”
your lived experiences matter. spend a long time contemplating about why law before you even start writing your personal statement. seek mentorship and pre-law pipelines. prepare for a least a year. meet with current students at the law schools and ask for advice.
Take as much time as you need for the LSAT, start very early or reapply if you can/need to, and have faith in yourself! Only take the LSAT once you are getting practice scores that you would be happy with as official scores!!!!! ««< Good luck! **Harvard Interview: ** I am one of the few people who got rejected from…
