Will probably attend based on some combination of cost of attendance and employment outcomes. Current ranking based on acceptances (pretty iffy on it) : Florida Georgia Indiana Arizona State Minnesota Iowa (scholarship pending)

Admitted to Indiana University - Bloomingtoni am brutally honest in my addenda and personal statements. im big, queer, and have had brushes with the law; there’s no sugarcoating that, and so i dont try to. Also I sent Yale a TikTok instead of doing their ‘college activities’ thing.
Scholarships are weird and take a long time for some schools. Be patient and do good research to see which schools are historically generous with aid. Did not have much luck negotiating but I only tried for the University of Maryland.
Double check your essays! Don’t waste application fees on schools you can’t realistically afford. Resist the golden handcuffs of elite/pricey schools. Consider your regional market pipeline. Always take the optional interview.
Oct 163 –> Nov 171 my #1 piece of advice is to ask for fee waivers! almost all of my waivers were solicited. i asked for them in september even though I hadn’t taken the LSAT yet and had really good luck
Full-Throated af Applied last cycle (2020-2021) with a 159 LSAT. Full cycle details here: https://www.lsd.law/users/creep/Ambulance-Chaser Max out your LSAT attempts if you have the time/resources
Apply earlier if able. Not just for the slight advantage, but for your sanity. I submitted around Thanksgiving, and I can’t imagine being a person who didn’t submit until January or February.
I don’t have a whole lot to say except apply early and know most schools probably won’t give you a decision in the scheduled time they tell you. Waitlists aren’t the end of the world either!
LSAT 171 GPA 3.36 2021–22 cycle
Attending University of Illinois—Urbana Champaign
Call schools unless they tell you not to. Even if it’s just with a few general admissions question. I hadn’t gotten a decision from Notre Dame in 7 months and got one the day after calling
June 2022 - 151 Applied to Northern Illinois University and University of Toledo with my 151 November 2022 - 158 I tried to be as detailed as possible for my fellow neurotic folks.
If you get diagnosed with a life-changing medical condition during undergrad, take time off IMMEDIATELY instead letting a semester of poor health tank your otherwise stellar GPA.
All I know is that I know nothing
I am a First-generation American and have been working as a paralegal in Big Law since right after graduation. I applied as early as I could in the cycle, which I think helped.
A @Indy and Rs @Mich/Cornell/USC w/156 LSAT. Received 2/16/2021 NYU HTE ; Went UR3 @ NYU on 3/28/2021. Released from CLS waitlist 6/24/2021 via email. Did not send LOCI.
apply early and apply often. you never know what school will accept you/offer a decent scholarship. also, apply to a wide range of schools, both ranking and location-wise
Do your very best in undergrad. Once your GPA is finalized, that’s it. Also, take your time studying for the LSAT. Do not take the test until you are absolutely ready.
Don’t get caught up in how other people are studying for the LSAT! Stay focused on yourself and your own progress - trust the process!
Apply to as many schools as you can. Seriously. Add more safety schools and use the fee waivers you received even if you’re not sure you’re interested in that school.
