This cycle was historic. For many, it could only be described as hell. Please, do not base your own beliefs on how you will perform off this year. While the next few years will be difficult, I can’t imagine them being near as competitive. I’m incredibly thankful to be attending one of my favorite law schools from…

Admitted to Washington and Lee UniversityYou need to, and I cannot stress this enough, submit your application as early in the cycle as you are able to. I had a pretty satisfactory cycle, and I am extremely happy with where I will end up going. However, I know that - had I submitted my applications earlier than I did (for context, I submitted most…
-applied for PI programs/schollys at all schools, why x at Cal, top ten list @ Georgetown -one year out of undergrad, strong internship experiences during college, year abroad and foreign language fluency, research and student awards, currently working in a law firm -dream is international public interest work,…
I used admissions consulting services (btw I would not recommend this. Find a friend to proofread.)
Worry about the things you can control and do your best to let everything else go. Be a real person. There are hundreds of other people out there with your stats. You are more than just a dot on a 2x2. And that matters. Even if sometimes it doesn’t matter to a school it should matter to you. Unless it’s a decision,…
Man! I wish I applied earlier! Dedicate a couple months to your personal narrative, and take a whole year for the LSAT. I only dedicated a couple months, which I really regret since taking a whole year would’ve yielded results more exacting to my potential… I think! Applied to pretty much every school in January…
What a cycle. Today is July 25th, 2022. Last night I went to sleep planning on moving to Knoxville, TN to attend their law school, and this morning I woke up to an offer from W&L law (about 25 rankings higher) and now I am attending their prestigious program. I think this goes to show you should never give up and…
I’m glad I wore my heart on my sleeve. I wish I hadn’t panicked and doubted so much. I’m glad I retook the LSAT late in April - it led to my top choice acceptance. I wish I’d known “optional” certainly does not mean “optional”, thank you very much. Advice: be passionate but not obnoxious, and don’t compare yourself…
Apply earlier than February. Stop refreshing the status checker and go outside.
Dual credit community college student to online undergrad. Lots of P/F credits through my undergrad. Petty unique academic journey and experiences that turned into a cool narrative. Emory, Michigan, Penn State Dickinson, and ASU I applied to as soon as the apps opened in August, but I could not add that date in.
My cycle had a lot of twists and turns, it was really only at the last moment that my decision was made. Sometimes it might not be clear where you are going to end up, so if you have some setbacks don’t think it’s the end of the road yet! You might just need to wait until you get the answer you want.
You got this everyone! God will lead us all to where we need to be.
Miss 100% of the shot you don’t take. Can’t get accepted if you don’t apply BUT ask and apply for ap fee waivers - don’t pay to get rejected when you can do it for free.
Soft tiers are pseudoscience. For below both median applicants or splitters, softs are there for you to prove to law schools that you will succeed despite your low numbers and that you really want to go to their school. It’s not as much about having standout outstanding softs as it is about knowing how to work it…
Applied to every school under the sun because I was hunting that sweet $$$$. Take advantage of fee waivers. No special softs, but strong public service resume, solid recommendations, and creative essay topic. Proud to have two T14 A’s in the cycle from hell.
You are amazing and I hope for nothing but great things in your future ❤️💨🦭 If your wondering why ND, I absolutely loved my visit, I loved the idea of doing the London Law Program, and it was the cheapest of the schools I was truly considering (UCLA, Vandy, NDLS).
wrote why X’s for schools I am really excited about. My LSAT could have been higher but I chose not to retake to balance my busy grad school responsibilities and mental health. I am going for PI so I am looking for scholarships and PI job placement
Start writing early. I did a Why X essay for almost every school. Did not do a diversity essay, but completed other optional prompts. I had very strong, program specific reasons for UVA and UChicago that I didn’t really have at the other schools
