Admitted to Washington and Lee UniversityThe biggest thing I can say is to show your interest as early as possible and check in with admissions multiple times. But don’t be annoying!
LSATDemon taught me everything I needed to now. I would it recommend to anyone preparing for the LSAT and law school admissions generally.
Never let your UG GPA hold you back. Apply broad, aim for the 75th LSAT median and you’ll be successful. Good luck to all super splitters!
Low GPA because I dropped out of school. Returned to school last year and my GPA at the institution I will graduate from is 4.18.
don’t underestimate how important your essays can be, write every optional essay and make sure they’re the best they can be.
*I sent all my materials in October **ASK FOR FEE WAIVERS! I saved $1k just by asking schools to waive my application fees
Use 7sage, don’t do more than 1-2 tests a week, take a 4-5 day break every couple practice tests (so you actually learn).
Apply early (Sept/Oct) but don’t be upset if it takes a while to hear back. Don’t be afraid to apply to a lot of places.
Get your LSAT up as high as you can because that’s where the $$$ is. Highly recommend work experience. Best of luck!
Stay true to yourself and your values, and remember you can’t pour from an empty cup!
I should’ve taken the LSAT a third time… listen to your instincts. If you think you will do better, go for it!
Ask for fee waivers from schools themselves! Most of the time schools will give you one if you ask nicely :)
The LSAT is not the SAT, spend as much time possible as you can studying for it, and you will be rewarded.
Just be yourself :)
I know you probably won’t listen to me, but all you can do is get good grades and do well on the LSAT!
Apply early, feel like I could have done better with lower ranked schools. Got lucky at the end.
Reapplicant from 2020-2021 cycle. I had only Rs and WLs in the T30 last cycle. Don’t give up!
