Law school is important, but it isn’t everything. There is more to life than where you go to school or how well you score. Take time to be with your family or friends. Go experience something new. Do something nice for someone else. Law school is not worth the time, effort, or money if it denies you the joys of…

Admitted to Brigham Young UniversityTry to look beyond the rankings and choose the right school for you, which may not necessarily be the highest ranking one. If the school has pathways to help you achieve your career goals, that’s all that really matters. It’s not worth a lifetime of debt for a little prestige which may or may not even benefit you,…
Applying during the 2024-2025 cycle. Currently in grad school and will update throughout the year. Used fee waivers for all application fees and all but 10 CAS fees. Did not negotiate with any school since most got back to me after I was happy with other offers.
Some extra info about my application cycle: Duke (WL) - Colossally slow. As a result you are better off applying before Thanksgiving as they are fairly strict in reviewing applications chronologically. Seems rare to get accepted if you apply after the end of November. Attended an info session prior to applying.…

I also had to disclose a misdemeanor, academic warning, and two gaps in my undergraduate degree to almost every school I applied to. My essays and addenda were polished, and I got positive feedback on them from…

Continue to be honest with yourself as you consider the full cost of attendance for each school, keeping in mind tuition cost, travel cost, the…
UVA was my top choice pretty much from the beginning. It was hell watching it go UR so many times (SIX) before I got the interview invite, but the interview itself was great and they called me back an hour after we finished with the admit offer. UVA has been an absolutely amazing fit for me and I love it here. Law…
You don’t have to spend a lot of money to get a good LSAT score - just organization and honesty. Rankings are not everything. Enjoy the learning experience.
Wrote optional essays, GPA addendum, and opted into any interview possible. Stay off the reddit and trust your gut, not internet strangers! :)
