…amount to $40,000/yr. 01/04/2023 University of Alabama - WAITLISTED,* *WITHDRAWN On 01/04/2023, I was waitlisted. I was not surprised as one may think, as I believe this decision was affected by my C&F disclosures, but I was certainly still disappointed. I sent a LOCI about a week later after I received a 167. A…

Admitted to University of Iowa…invaluable goodwill later. **Date change tea leaves and waitlist/hold notes: ** Emory took the longest to get back to me. The “pay deposit” button in Opus appeared under the usual “admissions” tab.- GSU scholarship info: looks cheap, actually is my best offer so far. $2000 for 1L, but full tuition + $4000/year…
…shoot your shot if you have the money or a fee waiver. A waitlist is not an acceptance, it’s a backup plan at best. Be careful (and strategic) if you decide to retake and reapply. I was pretty accurate with my predictions, the only real surprises were the Pepperdine A, Baylor WL, and W&M R. Turns out I was wrong…
…Applied last cycle around January with my 158 and got waitlisted or rejected everywhere. Got into a 100+ law school I panic applied to in April with a full ride then a few weeks later off the waitlist at Oregon with 25k/yr in scholarship. The full ride was so tempting but I was just not excited about the school.…
…7Sage blog posts and free resources are really good for waitlist info and scholarship negotiation. https://7sage.com/podcast-episode-71-scholarship-negotiations-and-reconsideration-part-2/- —– this is such a great podcast/transcript and I highly recommend it before drafting reconsideration attempts. I used LSAT Lab…
…They were straightforward about most admissions off the waitlist not happening until ~the second week of April. Sent LOCI on 3/8 Georgetown - Wrote Top 10 Books I read in 2023. Interviewed on 3/17, went about 10 minutes over time, received the “exceptional group” comment + dean andy’s personal email. sent a ‘thank…
I don’t have a whole lot to say except apply early and know most schools probably won’t give you a decision in the scheduled time they tell you. Waitlists aren’t the end of the world either!
…fared well enough, in some cases receiving acceptances and waitlists before people who applied in October! That being said, I know my chances at T-14 schools would have been much better had I applied earlier. I advise against applying early decision - don’t give up your chance to be wooed by admissions officers with…
I decided to attend Emory because it gave me good BL chances at the best price point in a really good location(pending waitlists, but I don’t expect any bites from my LOCIs). If you want a T14 or even a T20 acceptance at a 3.6, you will need to aim higher than a 170. I would advise future applicants to retake 170s…
…employment can’t be made up with likely scholarship $. **Waitlists: ** **Northwestern **I withdrew. The cost would be too much and having to turn down an offer would hurt my soul. Pretty sure the WL was only because I applied ED with borderline R stats. **USC **Withdrew mid-may. They sent an email saying it was…
**Attending University of Minnesota off the Waitlist ** Applied in November -> WL on Jan 24 -> LOCI on Feb 9 -> A on April 6. This was totally unexpected but it came with enough scholarship money to make my decision easy. My LOCI focused on their IP concentration, my interest in staying in Minneapolis after…
…die-hard Georgia Bulldog fan, I will be riding UGA’s waitlist to the bitter end
Apply to Iowa early because they have this fun thing called a scholarship waitlist, barely anyone who applied past December got money this cycle.
Although both UMN and GWU were tempting, the Iowa offer was too good to pass up. I didn’t want to sit around on waitlists and I reconciled a slightly lower ranking for $$$$
