abstract of the disclosure

Read a random definition: Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA)

A quick definition of abstract of the disclosure:

An abstract of the disclosure is a short summary of a legal document or a patent application. It provides a brief overview of the main points and purpose of the document or invention. In patents, the abstract is limited to 150 words and is considered part of the specification. It helps to determine the adequacy of the disclosure and appears on the front page of the patent itself.

A more thorough explanation:

An abstract of the disclosure is a brief summary of a legal document or patent application. It provides a concise statement of the text, including the nature, structure, purpose, and novelty of an invention's design and function.

  • Abstract of Judgment: A summary of a court's decision in a legal case, including the ruling and any penalties or damages awarded.
  • Abstract of Title: A summary of the ownership history of a piece of real estate, including any liens or encumbrances on the property.
  • Abstract of the Specification: A required part of a patent application that summarizes the invention's design and function in one paragraph. It appears on the front page of the patent itself and may not exceed 150 words.

These examples illustrate how an abstract provides a concise summary of a legal document or patent application, making it easier for readers to understand the main points without having to read the entire text.

@mastermonkey45: Looking at some of the recent decisions in relation to when they went complete, I'd say it's a good sign. It seems many declines were sent within about 5-6 weeks of completion. Given those were applications that were SENT in January, I'd say that means you're still solidly in the running. :)

Sent an app to OSU in early december and have STILL not heard back
Give it 4 more weeks at least. Everyone in this chat needs to wait longer.
