A more thorough explanation:

Definition: To come to a mutual understanding or acceptance of something.

Examples:

  • My friends and I agree that pizza is the best food.
  • We agreed to meet at the park at 2 pm.
  • In the meeting, the team agreed to move forward with the new project proposal.

The first example shows people coming to a mutual understanding about their favorite food. The second example shows people making a promise to meet at a specific time and place. The third example shows a group of people adopting a proposal as their plan of action.
