A quick definition of alnager:

Term: ALNAGER

Definition: An alnager was a person who worked for the king and collected taxes on woolen cloth. This tax was called alnage. The job of the alnager was to make sure that the tax was paid correctly. The tax was stopped in 1699.

A more thorough explanation:

ALNAGER

An alnager was a royal official in charge of collecting taxes on woolen cloth, known as alnage. This position existed in the past and the tax was abolished in 1699.

An example of an alnager's duties would be to measure the length and quality of woolen cloth and then collect taxes based on those measurements. Another example would be to ensure that the taxes were paid and that the cloth was of good quality.

These examples illustrate how the alnager was responsible for collecting taxes on woolen cloth and ensuring that the taxes were paid. They also show how the alnager had to have knowledge of the quality of the cloth in order to determine the appropriate tax amount.

I mean, idk how it's possible to end birth right citizenship without amending the constitution because to me the 14th amendment is pretty clear about it.
ross ulbricht tried to hire a hitman to kill 5 people
i am not that sympathetic to him

@KnowledgeableRitzyWasp: That might have been an FBI agent. It was most likely him and he was most likely doing it to retrieve stolen funds that corrupt FBI agents stole, but yeah moral gray area but me personally, cool with hitmen. It's not like it is uncommon to hire hitmen. I don't think the action itself is necessarily wrong but the intent behind it can be.

Like, Boeing whistblowers being killed by hitmen = wrong but a guy hiring hitmen to retrieve stolen funds = good to me.

@Dkk: Yeah, for sure. My guess is it'll go to SCOTUS and it'll be 8-1 or 7-2, saying that EO was unconstitutional.
