Appruare is a historical legal term referring to the act of increasing the value or utility of land through improvements, thereby gaining a benefit from it.

This process of enhancing the land's productivity or worth through deliberate actions is what "appruare" describes.

• Example 1: Agricultural Development

  A medieval lord owned a large tract of marshy, unproductive land. He invested resources to drain the marsh, clear the land of dense brush, and then divided it into smaller, fertile plots suitable for farming.
