dependent child

Read a random definition: meter rate

A quick definition of dependent child:

A dependent child is a young person who needs help and support from their parents or caregivers. This can happen if their parents are not able to take care of them because of sickness, death, or other reasons. It can also happen if the child has a disability or special needs that require extra care. A dependent child is someone who relies on others to provide for their basic needs and help them grow up healthy and happy.

A more thorough explanation:

A dependent child is a young person who relies on their parents or guardians for support and care. This can be due to the death, absence, physical or mental incapacity, or unemployment of the parent or guardian. Examples of dependent children include:

  • A child whose parent has passed away and is now being cared for by a grandparent or other family member
  • A child whose parent is unable to provide for them due to a physical or mental disability
  • A child whose parent is currently unemployed and unable to provide for them financially

Dependent children may be eligible for government assistance programs, such as Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF), which provide financial support to families in need.

@starfishies: have you had a date change at ndls?
Their admissions office is actually top tier, had a problem with a letter of rec that went out to all schools and they personally emailed me and made sure it got fixed. Rocketed them up my internal ranking fs
