A quick definition of drug abuse:

Drug abuse is when someone takes drugs that are not prescribed by a doctor to treat an illness or medical condition. This can be very harmful and dangerous to the person's health. It can cause many problems in their life, including addiction, health issues, and trouble with the law. It's important to always follow a doctor's instructions when taking medication and to never take drugs that are not prescribed to you.

A more thorough explanation:

Definition: Drug abuse is when a person repeatedly uses a narcotic or other dangerous drug in a way that is not prescribed by a doctor to treat a medical condition. This can lead to harmful effects on the body and mind.

Examples: Some examples of drug abuse include:

  • Taking more than the prescribed amount of painkillers
  • Using illegal drugs like cocaine or heroin
  • Drinking excessive amounts of alcohol
  • Using prescription drugs for non-medical reasons, such as to get high

These examples illustrate how drug abuse can involve using drugs in ways that are not intended or safe. It can lead to addiction, health problems, and other negative consequences.

Anyone know how long it takes to get aid package after getting admitted to UChicago or Northwestern?
I’d ask in the t14 chat bc lol it may be a bit until you can get someone who can answer that question here

@syddak: Oof tough spot. Congrats on the As. Did either indicate either via email/mail that they would be following up with aid, and if so, did they provide a time frame? It may be acceptable to email them and indicate seat deposits are fast approaching and you are curious if you can expect further info (aid) from the school to aid u in ur decision..
