Simple English definitions for legal terms

enrégistrement

Read a random definition: short-term loan

A quick definition of enrégistrement:

Enrégistrement: Enrégistrement is a French legal term that means registration. It is a process where a government clerk records important information about a document or deed in a government register. The clerk then puts a stamped or sealed note on the document, indicating the date on which it was registered. This process is important because it helps to establish the legal validity of the document or deed.

A more thorough explanation:

Term: Enregistrement
Definition: Enregistrement is a legal process in France where a government clerk records important documents such as deeds or contracts in a government register. The clerk then stamps or seals the document with a note indicating the date of registration. This process is important because it provides legal proof of the existence and content of the document.
Example: When a person buys a house in France, they must have the sale agreement registered with the government through the process of enregistrement. This ensures that the sale is legally recognized and protects the buyer's rights to the property. Another example is when a company registers its articles of incorporation with the government, which is also done through enregistrement. This process provides legal recognition of the company's existence and its rights and obligations.

@mastermonkey45: Looking at some of the recent decisions in relation to when they went complete, I'd say it's a good sign. It seems many declines were sent within about 5-6 weeks of completion. Given those were applications that were SENT in January, I'd say that means you're still solidly in the running. :)

Sent an app to OSU in early december and have STILL not heard back
