federal benefit rate

Read a random definition: cumulative zoning

A quick definition of federal benefit rate:

The federal benefit rate is the amount of money that the government gives to people who receive supplemental security income. This money helps them pay for things they need, like food and housing. The rate changes every year, but in 2021 it is $794 for one person and $1,191 for a couple. Some states and territories add more money to this rate to help people even more.

A more thorough explanation:

Federal Benefit Rate

The Federal Benefit Rate is the amount of money that the government provides to people who receive Supplemental Security Income. This money is meant to help them pay for basic needs like food, housing, and clothing. As of 2021, the Federal Benefit Rate is $794 for individuals and $1,191 for couples. However, some states and territories add more money to this amount.

For example, if someone in California receives Supplemental Security Income, they will also receive an additional state supplement of $160.72 per month. This means that their total monthly benefit would be $954.72 if they are an individual and $1,352.14 if they are a couple.

Another example is in Hawaii, where the state supplement is $70.40 per month for individuals and $140.80 per month for couples. This means that their total monthly benefit would be $864.40 if they are an individual and $1,331.80 if they are a couple.

These examples illustrate how the Federal Benefit Rate is just the base amount that people receive. States and territories can add more money to this amount to help people who receive Supplemental Security Income pay for their basic needs.

I mean, idk how it's possible to end birth right citizenship without amending the constitution because to me the 14th amendment is pretty clear about it.
ross ulbricht tried to hire a hitman to kill 5 people
i am not that sympathetic to him

@KnowledgeableRitzyWasp: That might have been an FBI agent. It was most likely him and he was most likely doing it to retrieve stolen funds that corrupt FBI agents stole, but yeah moral gray area but me personally, cool with hitmen. It's not like it is uncommon to hire hitmen. I don't think the action itself is necessarily wrong but the intent behind it can be.

Like, Boeing whistblowers being killed by hitmen = wrong but a guy hiring hitmen to retrieve stolen funds = good to me.

@Dkk: Yeah, for sure. My guess is it'll go to SCOTUS and it'll be 8-1 or 7-2, saying that EO was unconstitutional.

Indeed. I need a count for how many exectuive orders he has signed and how many already have pending lawsuits.
