Simple English definitions for legal terms

felonious intent

Read a random definition: presale

A quick definition of felonious intent:

Felonious intent means wanting to do something that is against the law. It's the state of mind where someone plans to commit a crime without any good reason. This is different from motive, which is why someone might do something, and from general intent, which is when someone does something even if they don't want the bad consequences that come with it. Felonious intent is important in criminal law because it shows that someone meant to break the law and should be punished for it.

A more thorough explanation:

Definition: Felonious intent refers to the state of mind accompanying an act, especially a forbidden act, with the intent to commit a crime without any justification, excuse, or other defense. It is also known as criminal intent.

Examples: If someone plans to rob a bank and carries a weapon with them, they have felonious intent. Similarly, if someone intentionally causes harm to another person, they have felonious intent.

Explanation: Felonious intent is the mental state of a person who intends to commit a crime. It is the intent to perform an act that violates the law without any justification or excuse. For example, if someone plans to rob a bank and carries a weapon with them, it shows that they have the intent to commit a crime. Similarly, if someone intentionally causes harm to another person, it shows that they have the intent to commit a crime. Felonious intent is an essential element in proving criminal liability.

@mastermonkey45: Looking at some of the recent decisions in relation to when they went complete, I'd say it's a good sign. It seems many declines were sent within about 5-6 weeks of completion. Given those were applications that were SENT in January, I'd say that means you're still solidly in the running. :)

Sent an app to OSU in early december and have STILL not heard back
